In Person Programs

In person programs are open to all ages. There is no registration.

Monday, June 1st at 10 AM at the Library: Unearth A Story Kickoff Party (Face painting + dinosaur activities)

Tuesday, June 9th at 10 AM at the Nebraska City Middle School (909 1st Corso): Wildlife Encounters

Saturday, June 20th at 10 AM at the Library: Jeff Quinn Magic

Monday, June 22nd at 10 AM at the Library: Science Heroes (Science + Storytelling)

Tuesday, June 30th at 10 AM at the Library: Stomp, Chomp, Roar Dinosaur Program

Story Times 

Story Times are geared for ages 6 and under. No registration. Families welcome! 

There are no afternoon Story Times during summer.

June 3rd at 10 AM at the Library: Mr. Oakley’s Unearth a Story Time

June 10th at 10 AM at the Library: Guest Reader: Keep Nebraska City Beautiful

June 17th at 10 AM at the Library: Guest Reader Children’s author Sarah Strehle

June 24th at 10 AM at the Library: Guest Reader Kimmel Orchard

July 1st at 10 AM at the Library: Independence Day Story Time and America 250 craft

July 8th at 10 AM at the Library: Guest Reader Lifetime Vision

July 15th at 10 AM at the Library: Picnic-theme Story Time

July 22nd at 10 AM at the Library: We Love the Library Story Time

July 29th at 10 AM at the Library: Summer Wrap Up Snack & Scribble at the Library

Farmers Market

The Library will have a table at the Nebraska City Farmers Market at 810 1st Corso with free craft supplies and other giveaways from 4:30-5:30 on the following Thursdays:

June 4th and 18th

July 2nd, 16th, and 30th

August 13th and 27th

Reading Club

Youth ages pre-school-12th grade are invited to participate in Summer Reading Club! Students will log their reading in June and July for a prize package in August.

Registration forms, reading logs, and drop off box will be available Library beginning May 25th.

Reading logs begin June 1st.

Craft Kits

Take and Make craft kits will be available to pick up at the Library on the following weeks:

July 1st-4th: Patriotic Paper Chain Craft

July 6th-11th: Sunset Dinosaur Paper Craft

July 13th-18th: Dinosaur Sticker Scene Craft

July 20th-25th: Pipe Cleaner Firefly Craft

July 27th-31st: Cupcake Liner Fish Craft
